We will read the book over three sessions. You do not need to attend all three sessions! You also can attend future sessions even if you cannot make the first session.

About the Event:
CAA is launching a new virtual book club series with China’s Hidden Children, a nonfiction text written by Kay Ann Johnson, a China scholar and an adoptive mother to a child born in China. Drawing on years of interviews with Chinese parents, Johnson writes about the negative impact of the One Child Policy on Chinese families and children. We will read the book over three sessions. The first session will take place via Zoom on Monday, November 20, 2023 from 7-9pm EST. This event is open to adoptees 18+ (members and non-members welcome!). The event will not be recorded. You can buy a paperback version of China’s Hidden Children for $16.00 from Barnes and Noble, The Strand, and Amazon. Amazon also sells an ebook version for $2.99. CAA can share its ebook copy with two readers at time, so please email events@chineseadopteealliance.org if you would like access.
