New York Chinese Cultural Center's Lunar New Year Virtual Celebration
Join us in celebrating the Year of the Ox! NYCCC presents a virtual program with a lion dance, Chinese dances, kung fu, Chinese music and singing, as well as multiple fun workshops of Chinese dance, kung fu, and Mandarin language.

Chinese dance: 11:30AM ET
Participants join NYCCC's professional dancers to learn some beautiful hand gestures and simple movements from Chinese classical dance. The teacher will introduce the background of the dance and show you how the movements are inspired by Chinese opera and martial arts.
Kung fu: 11:30AM ET
An introductory workshop that demonstrates traditional material arts forms originating from Shaolin. It gives participants an excellent method of exercise and improves physical coordination, as well as develops their reflexes and self-esteem.
Fun Mandarin: 11:30AM ET
Explore Chinese language and culture through singing and related performing arts. Participants will benefit from the selected classic Chinese rhyme and song and have a rich cultural experience in this workshop.
