FCC Northern NJ Communication & Teamwork Workshops

In today's age of technology, many tweens/teens communicate with their friends and others primarily through the use of electronic devices.  While advancement in technology allows people to communicate better in some ways, an over dependence on technology may hinder in-person communication and teamwork. The purpose of these workshops is to help our 10-14 year olds develop better in-person communication skills and learn to work more effectively as a team.

We will be holding 2 workshops:

1) Communication workshop
Saturday 4/14
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Explore and develop communication, presentation, listening skills and Emotional Intelligence through role playing and fun activities. 

2) Teamwork workshop
Saturday 4/21
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Learn teamwork skills with hands-on exercises focusing on setting team goals, negotiation/compromise, effective communication, creating vision and strategy and time management via team building and problem solving activities.

Workshops will be led by Ying Yen, Executive Director of the NY Chinese Cultural Center.

Cost for this program is being 50% subsidized FCC Greater NY and FCC Northern NJ.  Cost to member families is $40 per child per session or $80 per child.  Registration is for both series only. We will be serving pizza & soft drinks/water.
