Please join the FCC Westchester Book Club for an Interactive workshop on Monday April 11th at 7pm at the Green Growler in Croton-On-Husdon.
IDENTITY MATTERS: The Quest for the “Authentic” Self.
This workshop will focus on helping adoptive parents understand the complex intersection of race, culture, and adoption in the lives of their families. Using various experiential activities along with an interactive and engaging style of discourse, Amanda Baden will present topics including racial consciousness, privilege, adoption awareness, and the identity journey for adoptive families. Baden will also assist families in understanding the experiences of their adopted children as they navigate racial, cultural, and adoption issues throughout the lifespan.
