China ending intercountry adoptions

Message from the Board:

With the sudden news that China is ending its intercountry adoptions, we want to take a moment to address this impactful change. We know this announcement may bring up a wide range of emotions and uncertainties for many in our community.

As an organization with volunteers who are both adoptees and adoptive parents, we are still working through this news ourselves. It is okay to experience a mix of feelings, and there is no set timeline for when you should finish processing them.

As we move forward, we are dedicated to our mission to connect, support, empower, educate, and advocate for adoptees and their communities. We will continue our work of creating meaningful spaces where we can come together to share our thoughts and emotions on topics such as this one, as we believe these spaces are essential for processing and validating the unique experiences of our community.
