"He Named Me Malala" Screening in DUMBO Brooklyn

  • 05/11/2016
  • 28 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn

Thanks to an awesome partnership among the Malala Fund, Girl Be Heard, and Creative Chaos, we invite you to a private screening of He Named Me Malala at 28 Jay Street in DUMBO, Brooklyn, 7pm, Wednesday, May 11th.

Space is limited. RSVP to info@creative-causes.org is required.

He Named Me Malala is a documentary film about Pakistani education activist, Malala Yousafzai. It is an intimate portrait of Malala and her family, and their fight for the right of girls everywhere to go to school.

Girl Be Heard has a special connection with Nobel Laureate Malala Yousafzai and had the honor of performing for her and her father at the Asia Society for the premiere of the film. You can watch Girl Be Heard's Malala-inspired performance here.

"I want to thank Girl Be Heard for putting to music the beautiful anthem I created for the Malala Fund," said Malala Yousafzai.  "It is your love, your support, your faith that strengthen me each and every day."

Following the screening will be a Q&A led by Girl Be Heard Director of Global Partnerships, Abigail Ramsay. "We are delighted to partner once again with the Malala Fund and with our neighbors, Creative Chaos," says Ms. Ramsay. "Malala is an all-time favorite shero among our girls."

We hope to see you there!
