New Beginnings: Lunar New Year Festival

Saturday, February 28, 12:00–5:00 p.m.

May art bring you good fortune! Celebrate new beginnings and the 100th anniversary of the Met's Department of Asian Art with traditions from across Asia. Mark the Year of the Ram, one of the twelve animals of the Chinese zodiac, with performances, interactive gallery activities, and artist-led workshops for all ages!


New Beginnings: Lunar New Year Festival is made possible by the Great Circle Foundation, Tiger Baron Foundation, and the Anna Pardini Memorial Fund. It is presented by the Museum's Multicultural Audience Development Initiative and the Education Department in consultation with Cool Culture.

Free with Museum admission; admission is free for children under 12 with an adult.
