What is it Like to Find your Birth Parents?

Hear about one adoptee's experiences

Presented by Families with Children from China New England

Come hear from Harm-Yun Zoet in a special FCCNE program. Harm-Yun was adopted from Chengdu in 1996 and was raised in the Netherlands. After searching, he found his birth parents in 2011 and since then has visited them numerous times. He will share his personal experiences meeting his birth parents and especially discuss what happens afterwards. He has done lectures in Europe and is looking forward to meeting Chinese adoptees from the United States.

This event will be moderated by Dr. Iris Chin Ponte, co-author of groundbreaking research Letting Her Go: Birth Parent Search and Reunion in China. She is President of Ponte and Chau Consulting Inc. and Director of the Henry Frost Children's Program Inc. She has extensive expertise in cross-cultural issues in education and adoption from China and is a board member of FCCNE.

This program is for Chinese adoptees over 13 and their families.
